A different way of travelling

Now more than ever we are looking at travelling with new eyes. When choosing our next destination we might take into consideration things like greener areas, sustainable alternatives or where to practice slow tourism.

The Italian region of Abruzzo is known as “The Greenest Region in Europe”, a place able to offer plenty of choices when it comes to innovative ways of travelling. From a great number of green areas ideal for practising forest bathing, to a huge amount of organic and fresh producers or the opportunity to explore incredible places just by horse, Abruzzo is the ideal green destination.

A unique project called EMbleMatiC

Recently we discovered a new exciting project called EMbleMatiC Network (Emblematic Mediterranean Mountains), which aim to offer an eco journey that will allow you to discover “with all your senses” the beauty of the most hidden gorgeous mountains across the Mediterranean.

The stunning Gran Sasso d’Italia, symbol and reference of Abruzzo, is part of the EMbleMatiC project, a unique opportunity to discover the natural wonders of Italy and Europe. This eco journey, named: From Tirino to Gran Sasso, Lands of Saints and Warriors, visits 13 key places in the region of Abruzzo, an experience that will connect you with the true essence of the area, its people, traditions, flavours (the food!) while supporting local economies and your physical and mental health.

We created a detailed video that will guide you through every step of this journey, all you need to know about it and what to expect from it. Please, if you have any questions or need help planning your next trip just drop us a comment below or send us an email on the contact us section.

Enjoy the video, don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel and remember to add Abruzzo to your bucket list!
