If this is your first time around here, we are a blog about Italy’s best-kept secret: Abruzzo and we will give you a few reasons why you should choose this Italian paradise as a destination to enjoy your last days of 2020 summer!

It is sunny and warm . . . even in October!

Yes, when September comes the end of summer feels imminent. Even though the crazy high temperatures are gone, there’s still a lot of warm days to enjoy. September is a traveller favourite, you can avoid large crowds of tourists, long queues, high prices and unnecessary stress.
Abruzzo is one of those blessed places where summer lasts a bit longer with temperatures not lower than 25 degrees during September and an average of 22 degrees in October, with lots of sunny days and almost zero rainy days!

Easy to get to Abruzzo

Abruzzo it’s really close to the popular Rome, literally next door (wink wink, you might get the reference) Doesn’t matter where you live we are pretty sure there’s at least one flight to Rome!

Once in Rome, you can take a bus or hire your own car to visit Abruzzo, it will take you at least 1h and 30 min. Why not take advantage of your trip as much as you can? Stop for a quick look at the coliseum and la Fontana di trevi before starting your road trip!

We know it’s a bit tiring reading about coronavirus everywhere, but it’s important to be informed and up to date especially if you are willing to travel during these times. Thankfully, Abruzzo is one of the least affected regions in Italy by the virus which is definitely a key factor when choosing a place to travel this 2020. The best part of any trip to Italy it’s without a doubt the food and this trip won’t be an exception! Abruzzo is known for beautiful dishes such as Pasta Alla Chitarra the delicious and addictive arrosticini and the magical Montepulciano wine, but the most important thing is everything you eat here it’s fresh and locally sourced. Just imagine eating all-time favourites Italian dishes but with an extra dash of flavour and freshness?
